In a manufacturing plant, there are number of machines manufacturing various products. These machines are individually monitored and controlled by controllers and visualization units. In an environment where a large number of machines are running, it becomes inevitable to monitor all the machines centrally. Q-Web is a "Central monitoring and Control System" that monitors all the machines in a plant. It offers various features like -
- On-Line data view - Alarm management - Mimic pages - Set point change Q-Web is Web-Enabled System and has a browser based client. Thus the user can monitor machines from a remote location through intranet and internet.

Technologies used are - The software designed using OOAD methodology. Rational Rose is used for design.
Distributed web based application which will take advantage of power of C++ for data acquisition server and ease of development and platform independence of Java for servicing browser based clients.
